How is Holy Cross different?

Accredited

Holy Cross is not just a “reading scheme” for boning up for canonical exams. Holy Cross offers real degrees: Master of Divinity and Master of Arts, through our primary partner, Beacon University, and through other accredited programs around the U.S.

Affordable

Because it is accredited, the programs from Holy Cross are eligible for student financial aid. If the option to live in residence is selected (the best choice), the seminarian and family will find Columbus to have an inexpensive cost of living and a very low rate of unemployment—so spouse employment is easy to find. Assistance is available to find both housing and employment.

Anglican

Beacon has added seven courses especially for Holy Cross seminarians, but open, of course, to all. These courses, taught by Anglican faculty, together with Holy Cross’ program for spiritual formation, provide the basis for the diploma and certificate programs in Anglican Studies administered and awarded by Holy Cross in supplement to the academic requirements of the various degree programs.
